Mine certainly did not last long...6 months.
This chair's suspension is rated for 225 pounds...I weigh 200, so it wasn't overloaded. No children or pets jumped on me while I was sitting on it. It's just a lightweight, flimsy design from overseas. The metal split apart on the underside seat bracket. The gas shock/hydraulic insert leaks...it will no longer stay at the desired height. The ball bearing swivel has a nylon cage that split apart letting the upper and lower spacer washers gall.
There is no parts diagram included. I contacted the importer via email. There are no separate parts available. Only the whole seat or the whole base assembly. Both warehoused and shipped from California...so shipping costs are high. But the base has not been "in stock" for over 1 month.
I expected a lot more for the price. I would not recommend unless you've got money to burn or would like it as a conversation piece and never actually sit in it.
